ABOUT US
At Rozhenitsa and SiberianLove Catteries, we take great pride in being dedicated Siberian cat breeders, bringing the joy of feline companionship to families and individuals in Oregon and around the world.
Since 2009, we have focused on raising healthy, affectionate Siberians in a variety of stunning colors, with a strong emphasis on low-allergen qualities while always prioritizing health and temperament above all else. Our goal is to carefully match each kitten to a home where they will thrive and be truly loved.
We offer fur samples by mail so people with allergies can test their reaction firsthand. Keep in mind that allergen levels vary from one Siberian to the next, and some people may still react to even the lowest-allergen Siberians if they are sensitive to a different protein (such as Fel d 4 or other secondary allergens) besides Fel d 1. That is why those fur samples are such an important first step for any person with cat allergies.

Why our Siberians are the Best
In all modesty: after 16+ years of breeding Siberians, we’ve learned exactly how to nurture healthy, affectionate kittens with wonderful temperaments. We raise our Siberians in a loving home environment, socialize them carefully, and take pride in matching them with families where they’ll be cherished. Families who bring a kitten home from us almost always say the same thing: “This is exactly what we were hoping for.”
We love our cats... and so will you!

KITTEN EDUCATION
From even before they are born, our kittens are cherished and cared for in the best and most complete way. Our years of experience have taught us many valuable lessons and I can now confidently say that we are expert at providing the right environment and education for kittens that are physically and emotionally sound. By the time our kittens are ready to go at 12 weeks of age, they are litter trained, enjoy eating treats, are used to being brushed, and tolerate baths and nail trims. We then provide continued support for any question or concern that comes up for the whole life of your kitty. We are here to help!

TRADITIONAL COLORS
Siberian cat's coloring are separated into 2 different categories; traditional and colorpoint, also known as Neva Masquerade. The controversy surrounding this topic is whether colorpoints were originally present in the native Siberian cat population or if they were introduced from Persian cats by breeders. I will not argue for either side today but here we have committed ourselves to breed only traditional colors, and therefore we never had a colorpoint Siberian. One other color we do not have is all white Siberians because of a genetic predisposition for cancer and/or deafness. We do have a very wide variety of traditional colors, and love working with all of them; golden (Corin), red, smoke, silver, dilute, solid, black etc. We could say we specializes in hypoallergenic silver and bimetallic as we were the first cattery to prove we have low allergen silver Siberians. Head over to our Colofurr! page to learn more about all those exciting colors. Did you know that Bimetallic, now officially known as black silver corin tabby is a color specific to Siberians only? Head over to our queen's page and check out our gorgeous Bimetallic queen Bluebell and her daughters Pakipika Ocean and Darjeeling Chai!

LOW ALLERGEN
All of our breeding Siberians are tested hypoallergenic. We have laboratory results to prove it and countless testimony of allergy sufferer who have no reaction to our Siberians. Now, allergen level will vary from one Siberian to the next and if you have significant allergies, please make sure to detail those on our application. Some people are allergic to even the lowest allergen Siberians, as they react to a different protein than the FeLd1 allergen. The more info you give us, the better we can advise you and match you with the right kitty. We offer fur samples by mail to test out your allergies. Those have been surprisingly and amazingly accurate and if you would like to order some, please fill out our application, and select the $60 option with fur samples.

FAMILY BENEFITS
It is our deepest belief and a major driving force behind everything we do, that children deserve to grow up in a home filled with the love, joy, endless shenanigans, and laughter that only a pet can bring. Companion animals teach empathy, patience, responsibility, and gentle care; they offer unconditional friendship on tough days, encourage active play, help reduce stress and anxiety, build self-esteem through nurturing, and may even support stronger immune systems through positive early exposure.
We’ve witnessed time and again how a furry friend becomes a child’s confidant, playmate, and very first lesson in kindness.
For families with allergies, our carefully bred low-allergen Siberians have turned this dream into reality for many who once believed owning a cat comfortably was impossible. And for families without allergies, choosing one of our healthy, well-socialized kittens (whether non-tested or with normal allergen levels) can provide an added layer of benefit: research indicates that early, positive exposure to cats may help reduce the risk of developing pet allergies later in childhood or adulthood, particularly in a clean and loving home.
Our kittens help create those joyful, formative experiences for countless children, building lifelong bonds and beautiful memories that last forever. We are honored to be able to help you make your Siberian dream a reality!

HEALTH
We have been blessed with very healthy Siberian genetics from the get go. Part of it is certainly luck, but another big part of it is our unwavering commitment to do everything right. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a hereditary heart disease known to be present in some Siberian lines. Unfortunately no genetic test are currently available to rule out this disease. Screening echocardiograms are therfore our best tool to keep this disease in check. As you can see on our Queens and Sires pages, many of our breeding cats have had both parents or all 4 grandparents tested negative for HCM after 6 years of age. Very few breeders can provide proof of so many generations of "clean" Siberians. Because HCM is a very complex disease that is not totally understood yet, it is not impossible for one of our cat to develop it but we got you covered with a 5 years genetic health warranty on all our kittens. Feline peritonitis (FIP) is another disease of concern, in not just Siberians but in all feline population. FIP used to be a fatal disease with no possible treatment but thankfully there is now an excellent cure available. Make sure when selecting a pet insurance that coverage of anything FIP related is covered. FIP is technically not a genetic or hereditary disease so many breeders do not provide any kind of guarantee or coverage on this disease but we do. Should one of our kitten develop FIP and die from it by 2 years of age, you will be entitled to a free replacement kitten. Contagious disease is the other concern often brought up when discussing kitten's health. Who has not heard about those horror stories of bringing home a kitten only to find out they are very sick with various potentially transmittable disease? We regularly test our cats for intestinal parasites, maintain very hygienic environment, and enforce strict quarantine guidelines with any new cat addition. We guarantee all our cats and kittens to be healthy and free of contagious diseases for 7 days after relocation (most breeders offer only a 3 days).

PERSONALITY
Siberian cats are famous for their affectionate, outgoing, and dog-like personality, often called the most "dog-like" cat breed. They are intelligent, loyal, playful, curious, adventurous, and easygoing, with a calm yet energetic vibe. Many love greeting people at the door, following their humans around, enjoying interactive play, puzzle toys, and even learning tricks. They're highly sociable, talkative (with soft chirps and meows rather than loud yowls), and thrive on being part of family activities with most being not overly demanding or clingy (but some are).
Our Siberians are raised in a busy household with exposure to children, dogs, other cats, and daily life. This thorough socialization produces exceptionally well-adjusted, confident cats. Most really enjoy the company of dogs and form strong bonds in multi-pet homes. They're gentle, fearless, smart and deeply devoted.
As a natural landrace breed from Russia, developed over centuries without heavy selective breeding for looks, Siberians have greater genetic diversity for balanced temperament and robust health.
