When you are about to lay down a lot of money to buy a siberian kitten, make sure that you get what you want. Be patient, and wait for what you want. We're not Toys 'r Us, we don't have stock rooms with kittens waiting for you to purchase them and if you pick a breeder that doesn't have what you want, then either wait for what you want or let the breeder refer you to another breeder that may have what you want.
Do not waste a breeder's time by pretending you want to reserve a kitten, ask questions for 10 days straight, and then say you really don't want the kitten but you want a male. Then find a male with another breeder you reserve it and end up not getting it because you go to a different breeder because you like their reputation better. Then you reserve a kitten in a color you don't want, without telling the breeder what you really want and then throw a fit because I don't offer you a kitten in the color you wanted when it became available.
Ok, first of al, don't waste a breeder's time. We all have jobs we all have families and if you're not planning on waiting for the right kitten from that specific breeder then please don't waste their time. There is nothing more frustrating then spending days talking to someone and have them end up going somewhere else.
Do not, and I repeat, do NOT reserve a kitten unless it is 100% what you are looking for. Tell the breeder what you want, so when it becomes available, the breeder knows to contact you. Don't flip around between kittens. Be clear about what you want.
If you think that you have a breeder on your hands that is short with you and seems annoyed all the time, then go somewhere else. Don't reserve a kitten of the color you don't like with a breeder that you clearly don't like and then turn around and criticize the breeder after she spent hours with you answering your questions and sending you pictures to make sure you got the right kitten. And even after you changed your mind and wanted to see pictures again I accommodated your requests and patiently answered all your questions about the other kittens and then I get criticized on how I run my cattery and my business because I didn't do what you think I should have done. I am clearly not the right breeder for you.
