When you contact a breeder about wanting a kitten, there's a couple of things you need to keep in mind. Breeders are human beings and just like you, have families, households, jobs and some sort of a social life.
In order to streamline our lives as efficiently as possible we have applications. These applications help us to get to know you and determine if you would be a good fit for one of our kittens.
We also have contact forms in case you have any questions. Filling out a contact form, wanting a kitten with the message "I want a kitten, call me when you have one" is not going to work.
I don't think many people have any idea how much time having a cattery takes on top of everything else and there are only so many hours in the day.
We have a cattery, I am a mom and a wife, I run our household, I own 2 businesses (the cattery and an essential oil business), I take care of the cats, I raise kittens, I go to cat shows, I go to conventions, I teach, I work, I plan events and take training classes in between. I don't have time to call anyone or to chat endlessly via facebook.
So, if you want to talk to me over the phone, maybe to verify I am real and not a scam, this is the process how to make that happen.
If you want a kitten please follow the process:
1: You fill out an application
2: You wait for my reply email about approval of your application
3: You wait until kittens are made available
4: You pick your kitten
5: You want to verify I am legit and want to call me before you send a deposit
6: I call you
7: You send the deposit
8: The kitten is yours
That is the ONLY time I make the time to call people. When they are committed to buying a kitten and simply want to verify if I am legit or have questions before sending the deposit. Everything else goes via email. If I would honor all calling requests, my office would be a 24/7 hour call center.
