We recently got a new, all natural wood table, and I was thinking I was going to teach those cats of ours not to sit on it. Not a chance, they all love it!
A very pregnant Ladybug is taking a nap. She is due somewhere next week, and this is her first litter. The kittens are sired by Zakhar. We can't wait to meet the babies!
This is a kitten from Victorya and Jagger that recently moved to his new family in California. Isn't he just too cute?
Tsar is the only siberian we have that we have kept as a pet after he got an early departure of his breeding career. Tsar was born in my home country and that created a special bond. He is now 3 and a half years old and absolutely the King of the Mystic Melody Castle! Everybody who meets Tsar loves him. People adore him, all out cats worship him, and he is a grandfather to all the kittens whom he will patiently allow to nurse on the milk bar he doesn't have. They just suckle on his belly or on his hair, and Tsar will just turn over and let them do it like a mother cat would do. He lets the babies curl up with him and will protect them by putting his paws over them. He is one awesome cat and everything a Siberian cat should be. He is the father of our Victorya and grandfather to our Jagger. Tsar is here to stay, hands down the best cat ever!
Ever since our new pallet made table arrived yesterday, Hulda and Diesel have claimed it as theirs. It went from being a table to being a kitty playground, so I decided to try to teach them to sit at the table instead of on it. You gotta admit, I kind of succeeded here!
A common misunderstanding is that people think siberians can't really jump that much being a large breed. Au contraire, siberians are actually avid jumpers, which is why their hind legs are longer then their front legs. They can easily clear a 7 foot cat tree without any problems If I can't find my cats they are guaranteed on top of my kitchen cabinets! It certainly seems to be Minnie's and Lily's favorite hang out spot. If you want a docile cat that will not get into anything, a Siberian is definitely not for you!
