When you breed a silver siberian to a golden siberian, you get something that we, amongst ourselves as breeders, call bi-metals. That means the kitten is most likely genetically a silver but has many golden tones throughout the coat, very different from tarnish. Since research is still done regarding the golden gene (to see if one actually exists or if it's just a heavily rufused brown tabby) we do not know if this is indeed a silver/golden tabby or not. I had one litter that produced these "bi-metals" (again, this is just a term we use for them not an official color) and I had no idea how they would grow up. Thanks to Stephanie who is owned by one of them that came from our litter between Knyazhna (Sasha) and Zakhar, I now can see what they look like as they grow older. Thank you for sharing these pictures Stephanie!

Annushka (top) and Twiggy (bottom) are full sisters from a different litter. They have the same parents and the same pedigree, Annushka is just a year older then Twiggy. You might wonder why we have two girl from the exact same breeding. We bought Annushka because we thought she was beautiful and we liked the pedigree. A year later the breeder repeated the breeding, and here was this beautiful, big and good type girl born. The breeder wanted to keep her but was at that point not able to, but she had a big desire to have a kitten from this girl at some point. So we decided to let her come here, and send the breeder a kitten back from her whenever she is ready for it. She wanted a Twiggy kitten and not an Annushka kitten so now we have both girls and are happy to have them. It was not planned, but it just worked out that way. Annushka looks so much like her mother Volga, as where Twiggy looks like a copy of her handsome dad Borenka. On top of that these girls are also best friends. Annushka had one litter, and Twiggy is still young and showing currently in the kitten class. We love these two sisters!
Boris is a beautiful boy from our Ladybug and Zakhar. We debated for a long time whether we should keep him or not, and we finally decided to find him a show home. He is going to live with our friends in Tennessee and he will be a show alter, so we still get to see him in the show halls every now and then. Bye bye handsome boy, we'll see you soon!
